HOW TO MARK YOUR SWIMMERS





6 & Under

1) Using a Sharpie (yes, a sharpie), mark your swimmer's number on the outside of their arm/bicep.
2) On the inside of your swimmer's right or left forearm, write the abbreviation for each event they are participating in.
3) Below each abbreviation, write the lane, stroke or lane number, depending on the event they're participating in. Here are some examples:
- Medley Relay
- MR - Medley Relay
- L2 - Lane 2
- FLY/3 - Butterfly 3rd Swimmer
- Freestyle
- F - Freestyle
- H2 - Heat 2
- L2 - Lane 2
- Backstroke
- BK - Backstroke
- H1 - Heat 1 or Main Event
- L4 - Lane 4
- Freestyle Relay
- FR - Freestyle Relay
- L2 - Lane 2
- 2 - Second swimmer
On the day of the swim meet - you will be sent the event details for your swimmer. Based on the event schedule, mark your swimmer's arm accordingly.
